peaches 7x5.5

My friend Tom gave me a bag of peaches from his tree. I was sure to get a couple with the leaves still attached for modeling purposes. I like how the warm peach colors contrast with the green of the leaves.

honey and cream 7x5.5

I was trying hard to use a differnt colored background on this one but the green seemed to work best as a backdrop for the amber of the honey and the red lid of the jar.

garlic and oil 5.5x7

I'm trying to loosen up a little. I'd like to have fewer strokes describe more so I'm trying to pay more attention to when I stop painting. It's hard to do. I think that's why it's fun.

tomato and cloves 5.5x7

A tomato has more shades of red than one might expect. They're pretty fun and a bit aggravating to paint.

bluff #2 5.5x7

I've been working on setting my bike up so I can be a more mobile painter. Today is the first time that I used it. I rode to the other side of the lake and painted the bluff that our house is on. It worked pretty well although there are a few refinements that I need to make with my load carrying system. Click here to see my set up.

rock hammer 7x5.5

My dad lent me his old rock hammer. It's one of the things that I remember always being around when I was growing up. It's not that I remember my dad using it all that often. It was just a very fascinating object to me as a kid. It just seemed like it had a lot of history. It still does.
I have been posting high-resolution images since I painted the six-pack. Clicking on the painting now affords a much larger view that some may find interesting.

pear and plum 5.5x7

I was attracted to the contrast between these two objects. In the past I've painted two things side by side. I thought it would be a nice change to place one in front of the other this time. It sounds pretty simple but it was really quite a bit more challenging for me to paint it this way.

The beer paintings were fun, but man cannot live on beer alone...

Guinness #2 7x5.5

The six pack mini series is finished. My dad loaned me this great pewter mug and since Guinness had the most robust head, I decided to paint another, seeing as the head was going to be the only visible part of beer on this one. I've posted all the beer paintings to eBay. The starting bid is whatever a six pack of that particular beer would be. Enjoy.

tecate 5.5x7

It's a little late. I wish I'd thought of this earlier. I decided one beer wasn't enough. To celebrate completing three hundred paintings, I've decided to paint a whole six pack worth of beer paintings (one wasn't enough). I am going to be posting them on eBay all at once after the sixth one is finished. The opening bid for each painting will be whatever a six pack of that type of beer would cost. I am really enjoying this daily painting project and I sure appreciate everyone who has stopped by my blog. This is my way of saying thanks. I hope you like them.
